The Makeover was developed by White Oaks Mall and The Closet. The Closet is fashion blog managed by Sarah Francis, White Oaks Mall’s Fashion Expert, who provides weekly fashion dos and don’ts, and helps you find great deals at White Oaks Mall that’ll keep you looking great.

The Makeover is a promotion being sponsored by White Oaks Mall. Consumers are encouraged to register by setting up an account and explaining why they need a fashion makeover.

You must first setup an account by filling in your personal information under Step 1 on the Enter Contest page. You will be sent a confirmation email that requires you to click on the link to activate your account. If you are under the age of 18 you will be required to have your parent/guardian place their name and email address on the form.

Once the account is activated, you can start to tell your story. Remember to be as creative as possible to give yourself the best opportunity to get votes. Take pictures of your closet and wardrobe, show off some of your fashion “fopas”, sing a song about your latest fashion nightmare, whatever it takes! Once you’re satisfied with your submission then publish your entry to the Makeover Gallery. Before the submission can go live it will first need to be approved by the Makeover Submission Team. Remember, once you’ve asked to publish your submission it can’t be changed, so make sure it’s complete! And, make sure you ask for publishing no later than two (2) days before the final day to make sure your submission is approved on-time.

Now that your submission has finally gone live, start to share it with your friends and family. A “share” button on your page will allow you to share your information on the most popular social sites or via email. A “I need a fashion makeover so visit The Makeover on January 7th and vote for me so I can have a chance to win a $1000 shopping spree with White Oaks Mall’s Fashion Expert Sarah Francis” statement will be shared via the feed. All voters must sign up to vote and as an Entrant in the promotion you also have a vote, so make sure you give yourself the first one!

Once the submission portion of the contest is over (January 7, 2012), you will be able to vote on as many submissions you want. First you will need to register, and by just voting you get a chance to win one of five (5) $50 White Oaks Mall Gift Cards. Voting will start on January 8, 2012 at 12:00 pm and will end on January 31, 2012 at 11:59 pm. The top ten vote getters will be the finalists and Sarah Francis will then choose the 3 Grand Prizes winners. For full contest rules see Rules.
